Research Associate in Feline Population Studies (UK)

  • Required: PhD qualification in animal behaviour, animal welfare, veterinary medicine, biological science, epidemiology, statistics or related subject and have previously undertaken animal behaviour, welfare, demographic and/or epidemiological studies. 

The holder of this post will work on a domestic cat population related project in collaboration with Cats Protection. The aim of the project is to increase our current understanding of the domestic cat population in UK shelters and develop a methodological strategy for a population census. More info here.

Fundraising Development Co-ordinator (UK/Hybrid)

Fostering Compassion are looking for a Fundraising Development Co-ordinator to assist during this exciting stage of growth for the charity. You will be responsible for increasing donations, submitting grant applications and diversifying the charity’s income streams. You will be tasked with increasing unrestricted and restricted income for the charity through a variety of sources and forming new and innovative partnerships for income generation and developing new opportunities. Assistance Dog Programme Training and Development Coordinator at Medical Detection Dogs (UK)

Your primary responsibility is to oversee the training and development of Trainee Assistance Dog Trainers and Instructors to ensure they have the right skills and up to date knowledge on ADI/ ADUK policies to ensure the dogs are well-prepared to assist individuals with disabilities, thereby enhancing their independence and quality of life.  Within this role, you would also be responsible for inducting all new starters allocated to our bio detection dog department, giving an overview of our Assistance Dog Programme so they have a good understanding.

LOCATION: Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire

SALARY: £33K – £37K

Assistance Dog Training Coordinator at Medical Detection Dogs (UK)

This role requires someone with the skills, experience, and passion to take responsibility for organising and monitoring the Assistance dog training team. The successful candidate will ensure that the team of Assistance Dog Trainers develop our puppies and young dogs to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and training, thereby maximising their chances of becoming a Medical Alert Assistance Dog. They will also play a role in the training and development of less experienced members of the team.

SALARY: £28K – £32K

Research Consultancy Opportunity (UK)

Battersea and StreetVet are looking to enhance their well-established partnership to improve the situation of pets and their owner’s experiencing homelessness. They are commissioning research from organisations and individuals to help fill knowledge gaps with robust data and evidence about the issue of pets and homelessness in the UK.
